GDTC Invites all Registered Dems to 2010 Local Caucus - at Peabody Library on February 20th beginning at 9:30 AM to elect 4 delegates and 3 alternates to the 2010 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.  Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. The Convention will be held on Friday June 4th and Saturday June 5th at the DCU Center in Worcester. At that time, Democrats from across the state will gather to endorse statewide candidates.  The Caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Georgetown.   All ballots will be written and secret. T here are also 'add-on' delegate alternatives for the categories of youth, minority, and disabled.  Discrimination on the basis of race, sex, aged, color, creed, national origin, disability, religion, ethnic identity, sexual orientation or economic status in the conduct of the Caucus is strictly prohibited.  For further information, contact the Chair of the Georgetown Democratic Town Committee, Paul Nelson at 978-352-2765.

Clean Energy Leaders
In pursuit of Governor Patrick’s goal of 2,000 megawatts of wind power in Massachusetts by 2020, the Patrick Administration announced a project to install a utility-scale wind turbine on state land adjacent to the Massachusetts Turnpike’s Blandford Rest Area.  “This is a great example of how state agencies can work together to achieve our common goals,” said Governor Patrick.  “This wind energy project is good for the environment and it will help create jobs within our clean energy economy.”  Read more here, and in the Boston Globe and Mass High Tech.
